The dress code for the Women's Beach Handball in Norway team is bikini tops and bottoms...no regular shorts! Do you think that's sexist? Well, so does singer Pink. Here's the story:
Norway’s beach handball team was fined for not wearing bikini bottoms during the European Championships right before the Olympics. The team wore shorts to protest this sexist dress code in their Bronze medal match against Spain. Singer Pink took to Twitter to praise them, and tell them she's with them. The singer is peeved and she’s doing something about it. The team was fined $150 Euros apiece (about $17 hundred US dollars) for wearing shorts, and Pink has offered to pay the fine for what she says are “sexist rules.” Pink tweeted “The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM.” She added, "Good on ya, ladies. I'll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up."
