About Mary K. Fitzgerald – CEO, Eluna:

Mary has served as a nonprofit executive in Philadelphia for over 18 years with a passion for helping youth and other vulnerable populations through emphasis on physical and mental wellness. Mary’s extensive background in business and nonprofit management provides a unique expertise as she leads organizations emphasizing strategic planning, capacity building and organizational transformation and sustainability.

Mary was appointed chief executive officer of Eluna, formerly The Moyer Foundation, in July 2015. She leads the international human services organization supporting children and families impacted by grief or addiction though delivery of its renowned programs: Camp Erin, Camp Mariposa and The Eluna Resource Center.

Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Mary worked for FOX, the National Football League, and the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. She was an adjunct professor of marketing at Albion College’s Philadelphia campus and received a JD/MBA from Tulane University, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Sports Lawyers Journal and President of the Sports Law Society. Her publications include “The Court of Arbitration for Sport: Doping and Due Process During the Olympics” and “Sports Law.”

Mary volunteers as a board member, manager and coach at Chestnut Hill Youth Sports, as Secretary of her local St. Vincent de Paul chapter. on the Tulane Sports Law Advisory Committee and sits on the AmerisourceBergen Foundation’s Advisory Committee. She has served as Chair of the NFL’s Research and Education Foundation, as a mentor for the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and has taught Sunday school at Our Mother of Consolation Parish. Mary holds memberships in POWER of Professional Women and Women in Sports and Events (WISE).

She is an avid reader, runner and yoga practitioner who enjoys traveling and hiking with her two and four-legged family members and still roots for all her favorite NY teams.
