'The Godfather 50th Anniversary Re-Release' is now playing in AMC Theatres in Dolby Vision. You may not have been old enough to see it back then....but you can, and should, see it now, on the big screen!
Check your local AMC theater to see if it's playing there... for a limited time...but check this out: Paramount and Francis Ford Coppola’s production company, American Zoetrope, restored all three Godfather films over the course of three years, and they will be available in 4K Ultra HD for the first time on March 22nd. "The Godfather" is in theaters, now. Coppola directed the films and co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Puzo, who wrote he book about the iconic crime family, the Corleone's.
The restoration process saw over 300 cartons of film scrutinized to find the best possible resolution for each frame of all three movies. It took more than 4,000 hours to restore these films, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Coppola's Oscar winning masterpiece!
